Dave Astley was a coach, friend and mentor to our TLC Family. He gave so willingly of his time and talent to support our athletes and help them develop skills in bowling, softball, soccer, floor hockey and off the playing field as well. Dave and his entire family helped the TLC Hurricanes get started. His kindness, generosity and sense of humor will truly be missed, but will live on in the hearts of his wife Dana, daughters Sam and Alie and grandson, Tyler.
Rest in peace, Coach Dave.

Christian Jackson, one of our teammates, friends, and TLC family members, left us unexpectedly and far too early in his young life. Christian was one of kind with a competitive spirit like no other. He always wanted the ball and never wanted to quit even when practice or a game had ended. I will cherish the time I got to spend with Christian and will always remember him saying to me whenever I would ask if he was ok, Christian would immediately say "I'm ok coach, I got this." Our collective thoughts and prayers are with the Jackson family as they mourn the loss of Christian. As we all struggle in this difficult time, hold close all the memories we shared with Christian throughout our time together on the field. Christian will be missed sorely. -Coach Tim |
All of our programs are funded and supported through individuals and businesses within our community. This financial support allows TLC of South Jersey to provide the uniforms and equipment at no cost to our wonderful athletes to compete in Special Olympics of New Jersey programs throughout the year. It also allows us to evolve beyond the playing field, developing programs for our participants that provide work skills, job coaching, and employment coordination throughout our community.
